Malibu Music Awards

Such a blast...although I was mistaken for PINK...ALOT...even by a 12 year old - who by the way was a good friend of hers and PINK was being honored with an award that night.

P.s. I see it's time for me to hit the treadmill  ( left in black ) : 0

Tribute to Aldo

Have I told you how much I have lusted after the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Pumps ( see above ) yet I just could not justify the $$$$$ it would take to satisfy this lust?

That lust was finally put to rest today, satisfied by 5 1/2 very sexy inches.

My intuition is always good about things  - mostly feelings - not purchases. This time my impulse was right on when I spotted the Aldo outlet in Camarillo.

A quick stop turned into a little shopping excursion and I can tell you that my entire shoe collection will now consist of Aldos from this point on. Regular price : $100 ( STUPIDLY cheap for the quality - I know they are at least $300 in the department stores ) - my price: $50.38!

I have a gorgeous pair of red croc Jimmy Choos that don't even see daylight becuase they hurt soooo much.

Not these puppies...

My husband is contemplating a stripper pole in our bedroom just because of these sexy thaaaangs!

Apparently, 50's are fabulous

Especially in Carine Roitfield's world. Look at this woman!
She hit #55 yesterday.

Fashion's Night Out at Fred Segal

The Vogue magazine global event was a HUGE hit last night at Fred Segal Hollywood. My husband Dave and I, friend and partner Tracy ( in Revolution Vintage ) and the kids ( my teenage stepdaughter and my favorite Revolution Vintage staffer ) stopped for sushi first in town then headed up Sunset to Hollywood to join the festivities. Tracy and I got some great pics of people and product but too many fabulous cocktails later, I will have to go back to Fred Segal to get the scoop on all of the product names and save that for a later post!

Tracy and I ....

My absolute fave outfit of the night.

Me, my old boss Ron Robinson who owns Ron Robinson at Fred Segal, World Ave, Fred Segal Kids, Apothia etc... and Tracy. I think Ron and his wife own 6 stores between both Hollywood and Santa Monica. He just celebrated 20 years there this last November. I worked for him 15 years ago.

Pete Wentz and Ashley Simpson-Wentz. He's so adorable, she is too. I was not impressed at all though with what she was wearing.

Close up of Ashley ( nice job Tracy ).

There was an artist painting sneakers there last night...

Great rock-chic look.

Super cute...

Great men's look...

All in all - it was a fabulous night. Great people, great fashion, and a lot of support. I had to get a "Fashion Night Out" tee- trust me I will be sporting it today...on my way back to Fred Segal - I saw some pretty amazing shoes I need to have ; )

Just for good measure...

I'll throw in a little more Taylor. I know, I'm obssessed. I admit it : )
She's got such great Rocker Chic style.

OK... not fashion but definitely fabulous!

As we put together the details and design of our new store at the Malibu Country Mart ( opening in November ), there are lots of little things I am collecting to make the shopping experience at Revolution Vintage special. This morning I found just that at Design Sponge. Check out this DIY wax seal tutorial! Painfully easy - and thanks to hubby who just bought me a soldering iron yesterday ( at Joann Fabrics )!

Great outfit - I would have chosen a rocker tee but old school Rocky Horror will do.
